About Me
I am running for Commissioner of the Public Utility District (PUD) for District 3, drawing on a diverse background that blends entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to public service. I was raised in Pasco schools. I have deep roots in this community. For over 42 years, my family has contributed as entrepreneurs, fostering a vibrant local economy. Here, I cultivated an environment where staff and members improved their physical well-being and grew personally and professionally.
My tenure as Director of Environmental Services at Aramark Management Company honed my ability to manage critical operations with a focus on health and safety. I oversaw facility cleanliness and implemented solutions that met rigorous health standards, crucial for patient care and community well-being. This experience underscored the importance of effective governance and community engagement in ensuring public safety and satisfaction.
As a former Student Ambassador for Washington State University, I further developed my leadership and advocacy skills, serving as a liaison for the college and spearheading recruitment and retention initiatives. This role deepened my understanding of community needs and the importance of inclusive policies that empower all voices.
As Commissioner, I am dedicated to leveraging my experiences to advocate for policies that benefit our community. I will tirelessly ensure equitable representation for all residents and maintain transparent governance. I commit to giving every individual and business owner in District 3 a voice in shaping PUD policies that support economic growth and community well-being.
Whether you're running a small business, working a 9-to-5 job, or raising a family, I want to ensure that our PUD's decisions reflect your needs and concerns. I want to create an environment where businesses thrive, and every household can rely on affordable, dependable power. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous community for all. Thank you for considering me for Commissioner of the PUD.
YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Affordable and Reliable Power: As a small business owner and community member, I understand the importance of keeping the lights on without breaking the bank. I'll use my experience managing costs and resources to ensure Franklin PUD continues to provide stable, low rates and dependable service for all our residents and businesses.
Customer-Focused Service: My years running a local business have taught me that success comes from putting customers first. I'll bring this customer-centric approach to Franklin PUD, ensuring responsive, high-quality service for everyone in our community - from large industries to individual households.
Forward-Thinking Leadership for Community Growth: Just as I've had to anticipate market changes in my business, I'll work to position Franklin PUD for the future. This means investing wisely in infrastructure, embracing innovation, and building strong community partnerships to support economic vitality and improve the quality of life for all Franklin County residents.
PUD elections employ an at-large voting system, allowing voters from across the county to cast ballots for district representatives, regardless of their residency within the district. However, this system structurally diminishes the voting impact of low-income and communities of color and those who live in the district.
